We are devastated by the tragic passing of Steve Jelfs, our kind-hearted friend and dedicated Treasurer, in an accident on Friday 17 September 2021.
In this time of great sadness we recall with immense gratitude all Steve has done for us.
Never one for the spotlight, Steve would work away tirelessly, serving his community in so many ways.
He served on committee roles with both Avoca Beach SLSC and Avoca Beach Sharks Rugby. And as esteemed Treasurer of the 5 Lands Walk since 2014,
Steve fully embraced the culture and community spirit of the 5 Lands Walk. He was an extraordinary community member who approached everything he
undertook with respect, calmness and poise.
Our love and deepest sympathy go to his wife Leanne, sons Mark and Brett and to all Steve’s family and cherished friends for their loss.
We thank them for supporting Steve so generously in all of his community endeavours.
Steve, our community is better for having had you in it. You will be so sorely missed,
and remain in our hearts, as we walk the lands to which you dedicated your invaluable service.
